Advanced Technology

Comprehensive State-of-the-Art Endodontics

Advanced technology and extensive experience have enabled our team to provide an unprecedented success rate of salvaging teeth that were previously deemed hopeless. Our practice continuously incorporates the latest FDA-approved materials and technology that have a proven track record of enhancing patients’ well-being and surgical outcomes. For example, we’re one of only two practices in Manhattan certified in GentleWave technology. If you’re seeking the highest level of quality assurance in an endodontist in New York, NY, look no further than our office!

At Advanced Endodontics of New York, we treat common endodontic emergencies, including cracked teeth, badly infected tooth pulp and roots, and inflamed or infected bone tissue. An emergency root canal procedure is a highly effective means for relieving sudden and seemingly unbearable tooth pain. When you visit our team, you’ll get instant pain relief and state-of-the-art treatment delivered by a skilled and compassionate team. We’ll examine your mouth, take digital X-rays and/or a cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan to identify the source of your pain, determine whether your tooth can be saved, and then perform the most optimal procedure.

Whether you’re suffering from a painful tooth root infection or dental anxiety, you’ll benefit from our sedation services. Our sedation options include nitrous oxide, oral sedation and IV conscious sedation, and we use DentalVibe, which enables painless injections. While IV sedation provides a highly relaxed, yet conscious state free of any pain or discomfort, it must be administered by a provider with advanced training and certification to maintain the highest degree of patient safety.

We perform endodontic surgery for various reasons, including locating small fractures or hidden canals previously undetected during a root canal treatment. Surgery may also be done to remove calcium deposits in root canals, as well as treat damaged root surfaces and surrounding underlying bone.

  • Apicoectomy: A tooth may become painful or diseased months or even years after successful root canal treatment. During an apicoectomy, the end of the inflamed root is accessed through the gums and removed, along with impacted surrounding tissue. Then we seal the end of the root canal with a small filling and precisely place a few sutures in the overlying gums.
